About

A sports enthusiast.

Jonathan is the Founder of Feather & Square – and is a huge fan of sports and the outdoors in general.

Having competed in many triathlons (100s) over the years, 3 marathons (New York, Paris and London) and multiple sailing races, including the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Sailing Race, the Pineapple Cup (Miami to Jamaica), and the Rolex Fastnet Race to name just a few, he’s back on the water once more, now rowing.

Jonathan set Feather & Square up to provide decent quality apparel for the active sports person, and support local clubs, associations and organisations so they don’t need to spend money upfront purchasing lots of stock which they have to then hold on to and manage.

By combining good quality gear, with a ‘print-on-demand’ service means organisations can now simply design and create the products they like, and let their members purchase what they want, when they want and generate additional revenue for the club. With no requirements to spend any money up front, hold any stock or manage anything, at all.

The longer term goal is to launch a range of high quality superfine Merino Wool products, that really work for the active person, keeping you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

The benefits of using super fine Merino Wool, are that the garments will look stylish in any situation, are silky soft with a luxurious comfort, are naturally antibacterial and moisture wicking, need less washing, stays dry, clean and fresh, are sustainably sourced, and are mulesing-free.

Merino wool is known for being softer and thinner than regular wool, making it easier to wear next to the skin, and meaning that you don’t get that itchy, scratchy feeling from merino wool that you might get from less expensive wool.

Apparel you can wear not just whilst doing sports, but also wear on the high street.

So Feather and Square is an amalgamation of Jonathan’s love for sports, and products that wear well, are of good quality, look great and stylish and also have the climate and ethical suppliers at front of mind.

What we do

merchandise & websites for clubs

We offer a range of products & apparel for sports clubs, associations, schools, organisations – or in fact anyone who’d like branded apparel! These include t-shirts  & hoodies, (organic cotton and technical fabrics – quick drying, wicking, breathable), shorts, jogging bottoms, polo shirts, caps & accessories – such as water bottles, tote bags, drawstring bags, mugs and towels.

We’ll help you create the products and we can offer a kick back from sales to your club to help your club grow further.

We also build websites, where if you offer a membership or subscription service, we’ll design & build your website, with no outlay to the club, based on a fixed percentage commission from all membership subs.

Jonathan understands how hard and costly websites are to build – having learnt the hard way himself and so has come up with a model that really helps clubs.

Your website is the shop front window to your club, your business and your personality. For some users, it will be their first interaction with you and they will judge you on it.

The look, the feel, the functionality and usability. It’s critical — especially if you use it to increase membership intake and make sales.

94% of those visiting a website for the first time will leave in less than 1 second, purely based on design and look, so it’s important to get right.

It’s a fully managed service where the website will be secured, managed and hosted for you, and any updates done within 48hrs.
